I have been been developing sites and programming online applications and presentations since the beginning of the public internet.

Having worked in several multinational and small companies and being an engineer, I have adopted an analytical approach to creating sites.
Unfortunately, I cannot show all projects (for several good reasons), even though most of those are the best reference.

To back-up a press release concering our exagerated meat consumption, released by the vegetarian organisation EVA (www.vegetarisme.be), I joined a team of volunteers and made an "animal counter". This is a short Flash presentation where a Belgian can calculate how many animals he eventually eats and reflect it to the average Belgian.

Set up of a site for a volunteer project concerning technology for the poor. Via the well know Joomla CMS (Content Management System) as backend and several of its add-ons, I quickly set up this site at low cost.

A dynamic, minimal styled Flash site for a music label with some built-in functions.

Content, such as News, Artists, Releases, Links, are database driven and adjustable by the company itself.

The dynamically loaded items also have some functions such as jumping to the artist's web page, displaying the artist's agenda, previewing the music from releases via streaming, etc..

A good example of a low-budget Flash site with a picture gallery. Marco can upload any pictures he wants and they will be displayed automatically on his site.

The concept was built around the convergence of several standards into one standard while keeping it simple and easily understandable.

The customer side is very basic and the link is no demo, but the real site. Also, obviously, the Admin side (a very intelligent application) can not be shown due to security reasons. Maybe soon a demo.

Concept and design were created by e-builds. One of the important tasks was to centralise various databases and to display them on the web. The effeciency was increased as the database could be used at the office in real-time (for mailings, paper mailings, Office applications, statistics, marketing, (Outlook) contacts ...)

The SEO (search engine optimisation) that this customer has ordered, has had quite an impact on finding this particular optician or more explicitly "an" optician in Gent (or Belgium), for Dutch customers, as they fruitfully experience still today.

Simple intro CD-ROM with some descriptions and language choice. Software could be installed from the CD.

A troubleshooter with questions and answers based on some professional troubleshooter guidelines for technical and software problems about domotics.

To help another web developer with the more advanced issues and to reach his deadline, I created a simple clock display and some administrator functions to allow the administrator to add new and licenses to his page.

A support site where the users of EIBA products can forward their problems to the support staff, follow them up and be notified accordingly. No difficult login. You want a case, fill it in and login will be created automatically if you are not registered yet.

For the staff that has administrator rights special administrator features save a lot of time on each support request via automisation. This, however, cannot be illustrated if you visit that site. This site has been built by me from scratch.

This was quite a simple job. It is an implementation of an opensource php module that you install, configure and adjust according to your needs on your webserver. The module is called phpBB (php Bulletin Board) and is one of the 3-4 best and most used web forums.
( or should I say fora ? It certainly has some flora ;-) ). Some add-in modules have been installed, such as attachments and management.

Framework project, where framework is given (as in preview), and where the customer defines his own content. Menu's, content, movies, description is all automised from a combination of the technologies above. Obviously, the preview doesn't show much design, since that was the customer's responsibility. A project for introducing the web visitors of the steel company Sidmar, now ArcelorMittal Gent to the production process. You can select the different processes by clicking on the buildings on the map or using the overview panel. Each process has some animations and videos as explanation including some text which is also spoken. This is a really nice example of a modern, interactive, multimedia presentation for any company.Navigator The link is a demo. If you want to see something, follow the next steps:

No kidding, but this site was made by myself too! No, really!

I believe it has a nice design focused between professional and artistic. The content is seperate from the design so it allows me to change texts and projects quickly and easily. All via XML.
For example, this portfolio page is automatically created. The balls, pictures, titles & descriptions are automatically loaded while you look around which evades some frustrating waiting times.

Some of my project cannot be shown. Security measures, intranets (with a lot of copyrights), custom made solutions, etc. are all measures that do not allow to show (some of my best) projects.
